If you’ve fallen behind in your marketing efforts, don’t panic. We have a few simple ideas that you can use now to give your marketing efforts a boost. While the new year provides the perfect opportunity to kick-off some new initiatives, remember that it is never a bad time to inject some energy into your marketing efforts.

Here are a few simple ideas, that you can use anytime:

  1. Lead with positivity. Pull together a list of your company’s “greatest hits” from this past year. Get credit for the good stuff and tell those stories through social media and email blasts. And make sure to post prominently on your website. Case studies, and testimonials both work extremely well here. Talk about your new client wins, your awards and your stellar new hires. Because people love to associate with positivity!
  2. Survey your customers. Ask your clients what you did right, what could have been done better and how they feel about your company. Follow up with a “thank you” and a thought on how you’ll use their feedback to improve. This shows confidence and that you care about what they think. Nuture those relationships – because often times, the best new business comes from existing business.
  3. Be true to your plan. Content marketing requires some heavy lifting…sure. But don’t get overwhelmed. Just start with a calendar that schedules out all of your marketing content efforts. Plug in your planned blogs, videos, white papers, social posts and your email blasts for each week of the year. Once approved, circulate the calendar to all those involved in the creation and deployment of your content. Revisit it often and get help where needed. It’s amazing how effective marketing can be, if you stick to a plan.
